What ENHYPEN Sunoo's 戊辰 day pillar says about his ideal partner — read from his birth chart, not from an interview.
In Korean astrology, Sunoo's ideal partner is soft where he is immovable. His 戊辰 day pillar — the part of a Saju chart that describes what someone is drawn to — is heavy earth standing on the dragon's wet ground, and the partner star inside that ground is 癸, the gentlest water, which is also the one stem that combines with his own. He is drawn to someone gentle, sincere and quietly caring, who cools a chart that is nearly all earth and fire.
Sunoo's day pillar is a mountain standing on wet, fertile ground. The mountain is him. The ground is what he is drawn to, and inside it is rain.
He looks bright, soft and cheerful, and he is. Underneath is one of the most immovable personalities in the group. Two of his three stems are yang Earth, two of his branches are Earth, and a midsummer sun sits in the month feeding all of it.
So he is not drawn to a second mountain. Someone equally fixed, equally sure, equally unwilling to be moved, would meet him at a standstill, and two mountains do not have a relationship so much as a border.
He wants soft water. Someone gentle and sincere, modest about it, who cares in small consistent ways and does not push. A partner who cools him down rather than one he has to get round. The 癸 in his spouse palace is the softest water in the system and it combines directly with his 戊, so the pull is a bond in the chart rather than a taste.
Inside Sunoo's 辰 are three stems: 乙 Wood first, 癸 Water in the middle, and 戊 Earth as the principal.
Against his 戊 day master those are 정관, 정재 and 비견. The 정재 is his partner star, the proper and settled form of it, and it is 癸 — dew rather than river. It forms 戊癸합 with his day master, which is as direct as a tie inside a palace gets, and the same 癸 stands again above his year.
The principal stem is 戊, a copy of himself, which is why the partner is also an equal who will not be walked over. The 乙 beside them is 정관, the graceful form of structure. Gentle, sincere, and standing on their own ground: that is the position in order.
Sunoo was born on 24 June 2003, in the 午 month — midsummer, 丁 as the principal stem, with 戊 standing above it as a second copy of his day master. Earth on earth, baked from below. 辰 is the only branch in his chart that holds any water.
《穷通宝鉴》 on 戊土 in this month asks for 壬 first, large water to cool the ground, then 甲 to break it open and 丙 to keep it lit. He has the 丙 in abundance. The 壬 is absent, and the 甲 is absent, with 癸 and 乙 standing in for both.
A chart this hot and this heavy wants cooling before it wants anything else, and the only water it holds is the soft kind inside the spouse palace. That is why the partner the reading points to is gentle rather than forceful. The chart is drawn to the water it has, in the form it has it.
Read from stem combination, branch harmony, clash and 원진. Why these four →
戊 and 癸 combine at the stem, 辰 and 酉 at the branch, and the 癸 is the same soft water already standing in his palace and above his year. Nothing about this one needs explaining.
壬 is the large water 《穷通宝鉴》 asks for first on a summer 戊, and 申 makes half the 申子辰 frame with his branch. The coolest of the three.
甲 is the second thing the classics ask for, and 子 completes the water frame from the other side. More structure than softness.
戌 clashes 辰 directly, and on this chart it is dry, hot earth landing on the single wet branch he has — the worst place for it.
A second 辰 is 자형 with his own. More of the same ground, and the one water source in the chart gets split rather than strengthened.
亥 and 辰 are 원진 — water, but the restless kind, and at odds with the palace instead of feeding it.
Riwoo of BOYNEXTDOOR carries the same 戊辰 day pillar in a 戌 month rather than a 午 one, and the colder season turns the same soft water into a reading about refinement. Riwoo's 戊辰 reading →
This is who Sunoo's chart is drawn to. Your chart says who you end up with: the age gap, their looks, how they show affection, where their money comes from and the years you are most likely to marry. Read from your date and time of birth.
Sunoo was born on 24 June 2003, giving him a 戊辰 day pillar and a 戊午 month. Idol birth times are not public, so this works from three pillars rather than four. How day pillars work, and how far this method goes →
Your day pillar comes from your birth date, not your birth month, which is why a star sign cannot give it to you. Free, and about a minute.
FIND MY DAY PILLARSomeone gentle, sincere and quietly caring. His 戊辰 day pillar is a mountain on the dragon's wet ground, and his 정재 partner star inside it is 癸, the softest water — which combines directly with his 戊 — so he is drawn to a partner who cools a chart that is nearly all earth and fire, and who stands on their own ground while doing it.
A second mountain. Someone equally fixed and unwilling to be moved meets him at a standstill.
戊辰, from his birth date of 24 June 2003. In Saju the day pillar is the relationship indicator: the stem is the person and the branch is the spouse palace, 배우자궁.
癸酉 combines at both the stem and the branch and carries his partner star. 壬申 brings the large water the classics ask for and 甲子 the structure. 戌 clashes with his spouse palace, a second 辰 forms 자형, and 亥 is 원진.
Three stems sit in his 辰: 乙 Wood (정관), 癸 Water (정재) and 戊 Earth (비견) read against his 戊 day master. The 癸 is his partner star and makes 戊癸합 with his own stem — a bond rather than a taste — while the 戊 principal means the partner also holds their own ground.
