How Korean astrology reads a couple

A Saju chart is built from the birth year, month, day and hour. For couple compatibility (gunghap, 궁합), the two charts are set side by side. The birth years show the basic pull between two people: some pairs attract naturally, some are neutral, some grate. The birth months show how the couple handles everyday life, which is where most relationships are actually won or lost. Each person's chart also describes the partner it is looking for, and the reading checks whether the other person is that partner or only looks like it from a distance.

That is why a couple can be a wonderful romance and a poor marriage at the same time. The attraction and the durability come from different parts of the chart, and the readings above keep the two separate.

Why these readings work without a birth time

A complete chart has four pillars, and the fourth needs an exact birth time. Idol birth times are not public, so these readings use what a birth date establishes on its own and say so. Your own couple reading on this site uses all four pillars for both people.
